Episode #09 “Seattlandia” / Album: “Dig Me Out” by Sleater-Kinney

In this episode Zach and Dave discuss the album “Dig Me Out” by Sleater-Kinney which was released on April 8, 1997, on the indie label Kill Rock Stars. This was Sleater-Kinney’s third album but their first with drummer Janet Weiss.

Dave talks about Jovana Babovic’s book “Dig Me Out” which is another great book in the 33 1/3 series.

Sleater-Kinney guitarist Carrie Brownstein’s memoir “Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl” is also a fascinating read and a great insight into what makes Brownstein tick.

Here’s Corin Tucker’s twitter handle too. She’s worth following!

Zach and Dave recommend you support your local record-store rather than buying from some huge corporation or online retailer. But if you must buy this online, maybe get it direct from Sub-Pop (S-K’s current label).
