Episode #08 “What’s Our Motivation Here?” / Album: “Unplugged” by Alice in Chains

In this episode Zach and Dave discuss the album “Unplugged” by Alice in Chains which was first broadcast by MTV on May 28, 1996. A live album of the performance was released in July 1996.

We love Alice in Chains (as you know by now) and feel this recording looms large alongside the three LPs and two EPs of the classic iteration of the group.

You can watch the full performance here on youtube.

Dave talks about Greg Prato‘s book “Grunge is Dead” which is another great book on the scene.

My Seattle Mixtape is taking a little break for a few weeks. We’ll reconvene later in the Autumn with new episodes, new special guests and more quintessential Seattle rock music.

Please let us know your thoughts on the podcast via twitter or facebook or instagram or email. Do we get it wrong? Are we talking bullshit? Tell us!

Zach and Dave recommend you support your local record-store rather than buying from some huge corporation or online retailer.
